Noob q: Beat prophecies, what next?
I just took my e/mo and finished the Prophecies campaign. I'd like to continue to work on stregthening this character because I know my equipment needs some improvement.
I was thinking of farming in hardmode but have trouble as solo E as don't have stone flesh, silver armor, etc. Any recommendations on what my next steps should be...or what kind of builds/locations to farm if I need to buy better gear?

If you only have Prophecies, choices are slim. You can always grind out your non-HM titles, but I doubt without heroes you can H/H HM.
The main choices are:
Move onto PvP. You're mainly limited to RA with this, since you'll need to have the other campaigns, aswell as the expansion to use a majority of builds. There is about one build I know of that doesn't use them, and that's the Shock Axe which is still an extremely favourable build. Check Wiki for this sort of stuff, by the way.
Farm with PuGs, or get a guild and play with them. Vanquishing with a guild is a much better alternative than attempting to do HM PvE without heroes.
Buy the other games, get more storyline available to you, get more builds available to you and gain heroes.

Or you can capture all elites in the Proph campaign. Which will be a living hell - despite huge numbers bosses have in other campaigns, Factions and Nightfall are easy to cap. Mainly because they have FIXED LOCATIONS and you don't spend AN HOUR to get the elite you want.
Or Cartographer.

Although I agree with your opinion, some people still enjoy the game.

If you have other campaigns, play those. If you don't, buy them...not that expensive anymore. If not even that, you can always grind Skill Hunter, Cartographer, Protector, and the "fun" titles like ale hound and sweet tooth

I suggest grouping or henching Sorrows Furnance as it is awesome fun and it also has some cool elementalist weapons.
